Matt Yount brings over 25 years of elite experience and 17,000+ jumps to his role as co-owner of HALO2USA. A relentless advocate for the sport, Matt serves as a USPA National Director and an S&TA (Safety & Training Advisor) at Large, roles that underscore his career-long "safety-first" philosophy.

As a certified HALO operator/Tandem Examiner, and Tandem Program Director for Firebird, Matt specializes in the extreme end of the vertical spectrum. He has jumped on high-altitude expeditions to the planet’s most unforgiving environments, including Mount Everest and Iceland. At HALO2USA, Matt translates this frontline experience into rigorous safety protocols, ensuring that the logistical and physiological complexities of jumping in the "Death Zone" are managed with professional precision for the global community.

Chris Whitley

Part of the main leadership duo is Chris Whitley, a high-altitude specialist whose career spans nearly 25 years in the skydiving industry. Like his partners, Chris is a veteran of some of the world's most demanding aerial environments, including serving as a core team member for Skydive Everest and Skydive Iceland.

Within HALO2USA, Chris provides critical technical depth as a Senior Rigger and a HALO Tandem Instructor. His role is fundamental to the safety-first ethos of the company; he oversees the intricate rigging and life-support systems that allow civilians and professionals alike to survive the physiological rigors of the "Death Zone." Whether he is acting as a HALO Operator or managing complex gear configurations, Chris’s extensive field experience ensures that every jump executed under the HALO2USA banner meets the highest global safety standards.
